Bark Alert: Forest field trips, office warming, and more...

Its time to pack up and head to the forest!

Though I may be just a sapling compared to long-time Barkers (I joined Bark staff at the end of March), I have been spending my summers in national forests all over the country since I was a kid. These adventures shaped my curiosity and my character. I bet you, too, understand that experience!

lola summer viewI hope you will join me this summer in our forest (or at our new office) to explore, relax, learn, adventure, seek and find your own special place on Mt. Hood! We have begun to fill up the calendar. This year's Bark Summer School events, workshops and activities for all ages, will be held in town and in the forest.

Our summer camp out June 26-28 will bring volunteers to the Polallie-Cooper Timber Sale to document conditions in the forest and gather information to stop the project.

Our new office will be all set up by late July. There are also opportunities to engage with forest management agencies and affect forest policy.

Below is the calendar so far. We will be adding to it throughout the summer!
