Climate Weekend w/ 350PDX @ Base Camp!

Date:
Friday, September 2, 2016 - 5:00pm to Sunday, September 4, 2016 - 5:54pm

Climate Weekend at Bark! Basecamp September 2nd-5th

The amazing organizers and volunteers over at 350PDX will be camping out with Barkers over Labor Day weekend and leading workshops and hikes focused on the intersection of climate change and forest defense work. We'll be hiking through the amazing carbon sequestering trees of Mt Hood (some of the best in the world!) and visiting sites where we can see evidence of climate (both good and bad) on the landscape.

350PDX is a Portland-based, volunteer-driven, action-oriented organization working to build a diverse grassroots movement to solve the climate crisis. Find out more about 350PDX and how to get involved at http://350pdx.org/.

All activities are kid-friendly but please not that we are also joined by Plant for the Planet, leading a special youth oriented workshop on Sunday morning, September 4th!

Please arrive by 5pm on Friday September 2nd -or- by 11a on Saturday September 3rd.

More details about the program and what we'll be doing to come. Check back on the calendar 350pdx.org/calendar for the latest updates about the weekend.
