January Ecology Club: Searching for Bigfoot

Monday, January 11, 2016 - 6:00pm to 9:00pm

This month we will be joined by Joe Beelart, author of the newly released Oregon Bigfoot Highway, a collection of stories of Bigfoot sightings in the Clackamas watershed of Mt. Hood National Forest! These accounts span over one hundred years and were reported by persons of diverse professions from lawyers to loggers. Join us for a discussion of these accounts, and bring your own stories from forest. Mt. Hood contains so many mysteries, and park of Bark's work is to venture off-trail to explore unknown terrain!

At the close of the meeting we will leave time open to further explore the topics of the evening, delve deeper into Bark's work to protect Mt Hood and browse the Bark library. Our library is more than a physical space; it is also intangible, represented by volunteers who are knowledgeable and accessible for people interested in learning more about our work, ecology, public lands management and advocacy. Come peruse our newly acquired selection of resources on everything from hiking to climate justice, and learn about what you can do to protect Mt. Hood National Forest!
