Polallie Cooper Comment Writing Training - Hood River

Wednesday, February 17, 2016 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Bark Volunteers in the Polallie Cooper timber saleBark will host a free workshop in Hood River on writing substantive and effective official comments to the Forest Service regarding management proposals for Mt. Hood National Forest. We work to educate and empower the public to have meaningful interactions with the federal agency that manages the public lands that provide clean water and valuable recreation and education experiences for our communities. This workshop will focus on the newly released Environmental Assessment for the controversial Polallie Cooper Timber Sale - a 3,000 acre proposal that would impact the Crystal Springs Watershed, old-growth forest habitat, and miles of well-loved hiking, biking, and ski trails; all under the guise of 'fuels reduction'.

Staff Attorney Brenna Bell will lead this free training and light snacks will be provided.

Here are some talking points for comments to get you started.
