Radicle Activist Training: Forest Law + Policy, a 20 year Retrospective

Thursday, October 24, 2019 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm

We're taking a break from the usual "Crash Course in Forest Law & Policy" to have a special 20-year anniversary edition of this training.  After an overview of how the Cascades became federal public lands, we'll explore some of Bark's campaigns against timber sales, pipelines, and evil corporations (Nestle!), and discuss the laws and policies that we used to win. We'll cover the National Forest Management Act, National Environmental Policy Act, Endangered Species Act and more, and discuss how legal work needs community organizing to succeed.

Join us October 24 from 6-8 pm at the Bark office. Contact brenna@bark-out.org to let me know you're coming.
