Update: April Bark About "Hike": Forests and Climate Change

Date:
Sunday, April 19, 2020 - 10:00am to 12:00pm

Under the circumstances, our free monthly hikes into Mt. Hood National Forest have changed format! This month we're having our first livestreamed mini-hike!

Join Brenna Bell, Bark's staff attorney & policy coordinator for a stroll through the forests of Portland's SW Hills. She’ll discuss the history & ecology of our backyard forests and discuss the role of forests in the carbon cycle and enjoy the natural beauty found within Portland's city limits. Brenna will be joined by members of Bark's Wetlands working group to discuss beaver's role in helping increase carbon storage and climate resiliency, and by other special guests.

This will be Bark's first ever livestream hike on facebook (and Brenna's first ever livestream!), so it may be a little bit adventurous (eg tech awkward) but hopefully we'll spend a lovely morning in the forest together. Join in here from 10 to noon on Sunday.
