Winter Hiking Basics: January Bark About Hike

Sunday, January 13, 2019 - 9:00am to 5:00pm

This hike will be designed especially for those who are new/newer to Bark! If you've just started to get involved with our work or only recently learned about Bark, this is the hike for you!

Join volunteer hike leaders Liliya and Mike along with Bark's Associate Director Courtney Rae, for a relaxed, beginner-level hike in the area of Old Maid Flat. This hike will focus on the basics of preparedness for winter hiking in Mt. Hood and the history of Bark's work in the area.

Carpools leave from the Hollywood Grocery Outlet, 4420 Ne Hancock Street, (a few blocks from the Hollywood Transit Center, at the I-84 exit 2) in Portland at 9am sharp. If you are able to drive, we greatly appreciate your contribution to helping make a successful hike. If you are looking for a ride, please come prepared to reimburse your driver.  If you would like to arrange a meet-up closer to the forest, please let us know by giving us a call at our number below.
