To improve health of overstocked second-growth stands. To convert slow growing unhealthy stands into productive young stands. To provide better snag habitat. To thin approx. 180 acres in the Matrix and 7 acres in the Riparian Reserves, creating snags in these areas.

Driving Directions: 

Take 224 to Estacada. Take a right on 211 in Estacada. Drive 5 miles. Take a left onto Hillock Burn Rd. which turns into Road 45. Drive 5 Miles. Take a left on Park at the Mt. Hood National Forest Sign that is on the left. The project area is south of Hwy 224 and Estacada, off of Hillock Burn Rd. which turns into Road 45.
