April Ecology Club: Wildfire

Wildfire has been a very misunderstood, but essential and beneficial, aspect of our forests. Only recently has research begun to show wildfire’s true nature and it’s importance to healthy forest ecosystems. Join Bark volunteers and Portland State University researcher Andrés Holz to discuss the role that fire plays on our public lands and why we must learn to live with it if we want our forests to be healthy and resilient in the face of climate change.

Bark Community Space

Bark's headquarters are located in the inner east-side of Portland, OR and serve as a library, meeting and workshop space, and office for our staff. We are open 9-5 pm on weekdays. You can find more about our ongoing events such as a monthly Ecology Club and Kid's Night.
