Forest First Aid Training with Rosehip Medic Collective

The Rosehip Medic Collective will be leading a first aid training geared towards Barkers who spend time in the forest doing things like groundtruthing and leading hikes.

April Ecology Club: Wildfire

Wildfire has been a very misunderstood, but essential and beneficial, aspect of our forests. Only recently has research begun to show wildfire’s true nature and it’s importance to healthy forest ecosystems. Join Bark volunteers and Portland State University researcher Andrés Holz to discuss the role that fire plays on our public lands and why we must learn to live with it if we want our forests to be healthy and resilient in the face of climate change.

Bark Community Space

Bark's headquarters are located in the inner east-side of Portland, OR and serve as a library, meeting and workshop space, and office for our staff. We are open 9-5 pm on weekdays. You can find more about our ongoing events such as a monthly Ecology Club and Kid's Night.

Mother's Day Bark About

Join Bark’s volunteer Hike Leaders on the Clackamas River to see the very rare Iris tenuis in bloom!

Mark your calendars: Film Screenings, Trainings, Hikes and Events

I love being out in the forest no matter the season, but winter is a great time to learn about Mt. Hood's forests in the warm, dry Bark office!

Radicle Training: Intro to Forest Policy

Attend this training if you are interested in engaging in the public process on lands management, or simply want to be more informed about the law and politics that influences current forest management.
