Trail West Pipeline, LLC (TWP), a wholly-owned subsidiary of TWH, is pursuing the development of a new gas transmission pipeline that would provide an interconnection with NW Natural's NGD system. NWN Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NW Holdings, owns 50% of TWH, and 50% is owned by TransCanada American Investments Ltd., an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of TransCanada Corporation.
Trail West: A potential pipeline starting at GTN’s system near Madras, Oregon, and connecting NWP’s Grants Pass Lateral near Molalla, Oregon. The new 30-inch diameter gas pipeline is designed to transport 500 million cubic feet per day with an option to double that amount in the future. The industry believes that it could go into service by late 2023.
West-Wide Energy Corridors (WWEC) – Bureau of Land Management
In accordance with Section 368(a) of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EP Act), the BLM designated 5,000 miles of energy corridors (commonly referred to as “Section 368 energy corridors” or “West-wide energy corridors”) for potential placement of future oil, gas, and hydrogen pipelines and electricity transmission and distribution infrastructure.
Visit the West-wide Energy Corridor Information Center website at www.corridoreis.anl.gov/eis/guide/index.cfm to review the corridors and the Agency review currently underway to identify potential revisions, deletions, and additions for the corridor network. Bark submitted our formal comments in 2019 recommending the deletion of the 230-248 through Mt. Hood. Read Bark’s comments at {link}.
